City Council Campaign Launch Event
Wednesday, June 14, 7 – 8:30 PM
at Rhino Market & Deli
When I was flying combat missions over Iraq, I never could have imagined that I would be making my announcement to run for office in Charlotte, NC. But, excitedly here I am. I am proud to announce my candidacy for Charlotte City Council At-Large.
From the day I first set my eyes on Charlotte I knew there was something different about this city. I was in awe of the beautiful skyline, the pleasant and welcoming people, and the extraordinary promise Charlotte has for the future.
That promising future is what has made this decision so easy. I have always been the type of person who will stand up for what I believe in and raise my hand when there is a needed call to action. The time for action has come once again. I am determined to not be someone who is going to sit and complain about problems; I am devoted to being a part of the solution.
Our City is on the rise, and we have some unique challenges we must face. We must stay laser-focused on our small business growth, ensure our citizens have good jobs that pay a living wage, and the ability for our most vulnerable citizens to succeed. We are fortunate to have such a vast community of veterans who are ready and willing to work. They are a highly underutilized asset we have here in our population. We must develop initiatives to bring in the talents of these men and women. We need leadership that listens and serves; steady leadership that requires a resolve and committed character. We need leadership that is determined to build a dynamic, creative, and diverse city where everyone can prosper. We can meet this future together.
I am a devoted, dependable, and determined leader. But, this isn’t about me. This is about you and ALL of the residents of Charlotte. I cannot do this alone; I am asking for your support.
